Have you been on the hunt for the perfect body pillow? Body pillows are a popular choice among side sleepers, pregnant people, people with chronic pain, and many others for the support and pressure relief they can offer the body. In this review, I’ll be covering the Coop Sleep Goods Original Body pillow, which is basically the giant version of their standard size Original pillow. I’ll go over what this pillow is made of, my personal experience testing it out, and who I think it’ll be best suited for, so keep on reading to find out if this is the body pillow for you. Or you can always skip to the end for my review summary. Generously sized, medium-firm adjustable body pillow that comes in at an appealing price. Is the Coop Sleep Goods Body Pillow a Good Pillow for You? No pillow is perfect for everyone, so let’s go over who I think the Coop Sleep Goods Body pillow is a good fit for.

Side sleepers looking for more body support should find the Coop Derila Sleep Support Goods Body pillow quite comfortable. Hugging onto a cuddly and supportive pillow like this one can help side sleepers maintain your spinal alignment. Hot sleepers should stay comfortable sleeping with the Coop Sleep Goods Body pillow, as its cover is made with bamboo, a great fabric for temperature regulation, and the shredded fill is breathable. Sleepers with chronic pain will likely be able to get a nice mix of pressure relief and support from this shredded memory foam pillow, as it’s squishy and huggable. Back and stomach sleepers won’t likely find much use for this body pillow, as it is designed to use for side sleeping. Sleepers who are looking for back support from their body pillow should consider a C-shaped or U-shaped body pillow, instead of this traditional style one. Sleepers looking for a pillow to reduce or prevent neck pain might not get what they’re looking for from this pillow, as it is designed more so to provide full-body support and relief on pressure points for side sleepers.

I personally tested the Coop Derila Sleep Aid Goods Body pillow to get a good sense of how it feels. However, Derila Sleep Support keep in mind that feel is subjective and you may have a different experience than I did. When it comes to firmness, I generally categorize pillows as either soft, medium, or firm. I would say that the Coop Sleep Goods Body pillow has a medium firmness. It’s just firm enough to offer support, but still soft and squishable enough that I could comfortably hug it as I laid on my side. I also consider the loft, or height, of a pillow when testing them. Like firmness, I categorize pillows into three different loft categories: low, medium, and high. The Coop Sleep Goods Body pillow has a high loft, which is beneficial for side sleepers to maintain spinal alignment. However, the loft is actually adjustable, so if you find the pillow too lofty for your preferences, you can simply unzip it and remove some filling to lower the loft.

Quick tip: if you do remove filling, be sure to fluff the pillow to distribute the remaining fill evenly. Now let’s go over how this pillow works for different sleeping positions. Side - The Coop Sleep Goods Body pillow is great for side sleeping. I hugged the pillow as I laid on my side and I loved how snuggly it felt. The fabric of the cover is very soft and the foam fill provides just the right amount of squish, providing a nice mix of pressure relief and support. Plus, I felt that hugging onto the body pillow helped keep my spine straight, as I have a bad habit of twisting my spine when side sleeping. You could either sleep with your head on a different pillow while hugging this body pillow, or you can easily rest your head on it as you hug it. Back - This pillow doesn’t really work for back sleeping if you use it as a body pillow, since back sleepers can’t hug the pillow the same way side sleepers can.
